To get the most from your massage, remember to communicate with your therapist to establish the level of pressure your body is responding to.
Traditional Swedish Massage involves lighter pressure with long smooth gliding, kneading techniques and gently stretching the muscles. One of the main goals in this massage is relaxation. By relieving muscle tension, Swedish massage therapy can be both relaxing and energizing, ensuring physical, mental, and emotional benefits! From head to toe, every one of your body's systems is affected by a Swedish Massage.
Traditional Deep Tissue Massage is a technique using a firmer pressure, to reach deeper muscle layers and connective tissue. This massage techniques may be used to break up scar tissue, adhesions, painful “knots” that may be causing restriction in movement/range of motion, inflammation, or pain. It can be done as a full body massage or a focused massage targeted specifically towards problem areas. After your deep tissue massage session, you may have some stiffness or soreness, but this should subside within a day or so.
