The Art of Retreating

Ahhh The Art of Retreating! There are many wonderful retreats out there. They frequently have speakers, events and a lot of structure. We decided to offer people the opportunity to experience retreats in a way that we find refreshing. What if everything were invitational and there was truly no pressure to do anything? Want to sleep in? Great! Want to spend the whole day in solitude? We will give you all the space you need! Do you want to paint, do a puzzle, hike at 4 a.m. or kayak with a friend? All of these options are available to you and more! We will offer some optional group times to check in for those wishing to connect and we always offer something creative to do for fun. Our desire is that this weekend would be a time of both rest and hope as you learn more about yourself and who you were created to be.

This retreat will include 3 meals on Friday and Saturday, breakfast on Sunday, as well as all other supplies for activities. We also invite you to experience a complementary Spiritual Direction session with Carla or Shay.

Carla Rousseau and Shay Eveland have both received training and completed their certificates in Spiritual Direction from Moody Bible College. They are passionate about sharing their love of retreating with those who are longing for something new.
