BioSpiritual Focusing helps us to experience the whole of our selves - mind, body, and spirit - as a way of deepening our connectedness with God, others, and self. This simple daily practice is easy to learn and brings the body's felt sense for grace and God into your everyday awareness. It requires only the willingness to pay attention contemplatively to what is present within and to let go of trying to fix or change ourselves, awaiting the movement of the Holy Spirit within.

Your instructors, Marisa Gilbert and Margie Walker, have years of experience leading others through BioSpiritual Focusing during retreats at the St. Benedict Center as well as other facilities and during Spiritual Direction sessions. They are passionate about teaching others how to regularly utilize this tool themselves. They will introduce you to this process in a safe and respectful environment.

Marisa B. Gilbert was the director of Knowles Mercy Spirituality Center. Her experiences in education, adult Catholic formation, and spiritual direction/retreat ministry have allowed her to work with a variety of age groups and religious backgrounds.

Margie M. Walker as teacher, child birth educator, spouse, mother of six, grandma to 18 and spiritual director has been leading retreats and journeying with fellow pilgrims around the US for 30 years.

The potential for transformation and growth unfolds in this process of attentive presence with God and the movement of grace in your life.
